Andrea True, former porn starlet turned Disco star, was born and raised in Nashville. She headed to New York City in the late 60's and wound up in the porn industry to pay bills. While in Jamaica in the mid-70's she recorded the song More, More, More with producer/songwriter Gregg Diamond. Upon returning to New York, they licensed the song to Buddah Records. Buddah assigned Tom Moulton to remix the song for clubs, and More, More, More became one of the biggest Disco hits of 1976.

Diamond fills the production with slightly funky piano, sensual horn solos, and quite possibly the most memorable wood block in the history of popular music. Andrea True's vocals float above the mix with a breathy urgency drenched in sexuality. Lyrical innuendo in the form of 'get the camera's rollin', get the action goin' alludes to True's other career with little subtlety.

The original version of More, More, More has been included in countless compilations of Disco hits. In 1999, the Alternative Pop/Rock group LEN built their hit single Steal My Sunshine around the More, More, More piano and wood block break. The sample was very successfully used to cast an Old-School feel upon the contemporary Pop hit.

Gregg Diamond continued on to have a number of additional Disco hits under his own name and recording as Bionic Boogie and Gregg Diamond's Starcruiser. He passed away in 1999 at the age of 49. Little is known about Andrea True after the Andrea True Connection faded from popularity by the end of the 70's. Bananarama revived More, More, More for a UK single release in 1993. Fashion mavens Dolce & Gabbana have also released their own recorded version.
